Our Pricing Structure

As a society we have been conditioned to believe it will be cheaper and easier to buy a new appliance when things break down. In some cases this is correct, if you buy a cheaper appliance it is probably better to invest in a new appliance. On the other hand if you have invested in quality appliances there is no need to simply throw them out when they break down. Most repairs carried out by Mayner & Cochran are completed within  30 minutes at a labour cost of $193. A majority of our repairs, including parts, come out well under $400. It is rare to have a repair go over $800. It does happen but it is not common. Our Factory Trained Technicians will advise all costs before carrying out any repairs.

Call Fee (for ACT, Queanbeyan, Murrumbateman & Yass )
$193 (Includes 30 Minutes Labour)

Our Call Fee is only charged for the first visit, if we need to come back with parts the charges for the second call will be parts and Labour only.

Additional labour (After 1st 30 minutes)
$45.00 per 15 minutes (or part thereof)

Our Call fee covers the overheads and time required to send a van to your home, diagnose your appliance, carry out any small repairs or send a quote if required. Our Call fee includes 30 minutes labour.

Travel (for areas surrounding ACT and Queanbeyan)
$3.00 per kilometer, one way only.

Appliances from regional areas can be bought to our workshop for repairs.

Workshop Fees

A $193 Diagnostic and Quote fee is charged upon dropping your appliance off at our workshop. Additional labour charged for repairs after diagnostics is charged at $45 per 15 minutes.

Very minor repairs may be covered under the Diagnostic and Quote fee.

Out Of Warranty Repairs

The first step is to make a service booking, this can be done by clicking the “Book And Schedule Your Repair” button on any page of this web site, this process is live so you can schedule your repair on your preferred date during the booking process. A confirmation email will be generated and sent at the completion of your booking. If you would prefer you can call us on 6280 6833 and we will be happy to take your booking over the phone.

On your scheduled date, we will have one of our service technicians assess and repair your appliance.

If your appliance requires new parts, then we will quote you a price before proceeding with the repair.

We do not charge a second call fell when returning to fit parts

Be sure to have a copy of your purchase receipt to show the technician upon his arrival.

If your appliance requires new parts that are not in our service vans, we will place them on order and reschedule a repair date once the part arrives.
